Dr. Nancy Long-Foster, Ph.D., APRN, Founder

As an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), Dr. Foster has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's of Science in Educational Psychology from Ohio State University and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University. Her PhD, from Southwestern University in Arizona, was in Psycho-Neurobiology with extensive post-graduate research on the prevention and treatment of pediatric physical, sexual, mental and emotional abuse at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
With a background as a Captain in the United States Air Force, Dr. Foster has held Presidential appointments on the International Development Agency and the National Institute for Health. She has been a Professor in the College of Nursing at Ohio State University, Tokyo University in Japan and Brigham Young University. Her work for the American Nursing Association led to the design of the national certification for cardiovascular specialists in Critical Care Clinical Nursing. Additional teaching includes seminars and clinical work in nursing, psychology and integrative alternative medicine at the University of Utah's College of Nursing and Neuro Psychology Institute.
Along with being a wife, mother and grandmother, Dr. Foster prides herself on being an educator and practitioner. She specializes in psychiatric and mental health issues as based on an integrative, evidence based approach to mind, body and spirit. With more than fifty years of applied knowledge and experience, she focuses on identifying and treating the individual rather than the symptoms.
